VI-grade, a leader in simulation-driven vehicle development solutions, has officially launched the DiM300 driving simulator, an advanced iteration in its acclaimed DiM Dynamic driving simulator series. With a range of new features, including an extended operating range and higher tripod velocity, the simulator builds upon the success of VI-grade’s previous models, the DiM150 and DiM250.
Introduced in 2012, the DiM150 laid the groundwork for a new generation of system-level simulation. Building on this success, VI-grade unveiled the DiM250 in 2018, incorporating extended linear actuators for enhanced tripod travel and longer steady-state accelerations.
There are 26 DiM150 and DiM250 simulators now operational globally, playing a crucial role in bridging the gap between testing and simulation and supporting the industry’s ‘Zero Prototypes’ vision. They are used by leading automotive manufacturers, suppliers, motorsport teams and research centers.
The DiM300 is the latest evolution in VI-grade’s driving simulation technology, with the first unit successfully adopted by Honda Japan in 2023. A second unit is set for operational deployment in 2024 at Japanese engineering service provider Progress Technologies Group.

Guido Bairati, MD at VI-grade emphasized that this latest model represents a significant advancement in large-scale driving simulation technology, and anticipates that that its enhanced features and expanded movement area will revolutionize the approach engineers take to vehicle development.
