Having recently launched the Battista electric hypercar, Automobili Pininfarina has now set its sights on becoming one of the world’s most prominent luxury automotive companies. A series of investments and initiatives will see the Battista enter production in 2020, although only 150 will be built by the Italian marque.
With a body of carbon fiber, an all-electric powertrain producing 1,900hp, and motors that power each wheel, the car will deliver extreme performance with zero emissions. The batteries can even be charged to 80% capacity in only 30 minutes, while the overall range will approach 300 miles.
The Battista will be followed by two more pure-electric cars so that the brand can compete with established manufacturers in the sustainable luxury utility vehicle (S-LUV) space. The company’s Pura Vision EV platform is in development with Bosch and Benteler and will make its debut at Pebble Beach in California in the summer of 2020.
