Mercedes-Benz celebrates 60 years of crash testing

Mercedes-Benz is celebrating 60 years since it conducted its first crash test – on September 10, 1959.

To date, the German giant has crash tested more than 14,000 cars. Since 2016 around 900 crash tests plus around 1,700 sled tests have been carried out at Daimler’s Technology Centre for Vehicle Safety (TFS) in Sindelfingen, Germany.
