A Volkswagen prototype vehicle was recently spotted in camouflage on roads in the USA, reports Mashable, prompting speculation that it could be the production version of the VW CrossBlue SUV concept that was showcased at the 2013 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, Michigan.

Reports have stated that the vehicle, which will be developed for the US market, was seen with different front grilles and logos in the USA.

The SUV will be based on the Volkswagen Group’s MQB platform and is expected to be launched as a replacement for the Volkswagen Routan.
