Modal shakers available from PCB offer high levels of flexibility

0

PCB Piezotronics now offers a range of modal shakers from The Modal Shop (TMS). These are designed for use in modal applications unlike most conventional shakers that are intended for vibration testing installation. TMS modal shakers can be used with an adjustable lateral support stand and weigh considerably less than standard vibration test shakers, making them easier to maneuver into position.

TMS modal shakers also feature a convenient through-hole armature to make shaker set up much easier. Once the shaker has been positioned, the ‘stinger’ can be adjusted to the length required by sliding it into the shaker armature then, when in the correct position, it can be locked in place by tightening the collet on the shaker. Competitive shaker systems without through-hole armatures feature threaded inserts on the shaker table and a rigid armature.
