Improved product reliability with TÜV SÜD test rig service

TÜV SÜD has launched its automated test rig service, which can be used to test products that have a particularly repetitive use, such as those that incorporate switches or hinges. TÜV SÜD will build a bespoke test rig to accommodate individual products and develop a test schedule set against expected usage for the lifecycle of the product.

Richard Poate, senior manager at TÜV SÜD product service, said, “It’s obvious that customers will have more confidence in their suppliers if they can prove that they have an effective test strategy in place. Being able to demonstrate that you are an extremely diligent supplier, even if they do not require it contractually, will inevitably increase their confidence in all of the products delivered. Our new automated test rig service will help both manufacturers and retailers achieve this.”
