Generational Equity acquires fuel systems test specialist

Generational Equity, a mergers and acquisitions advisor for privately-held, middle-market businesses, has announced the acquisition of its client Testing Services Group (TSG), based in Michigan, USA, by SGS Group, headquartered in Switzerland.

TSG provides fuel systems testing and is claimed to have the largest installed base of mini- and micro-SHED systems for evaporative emissions measurements in North America. It works closely with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the California Air Resources Board on the development of new test procedures in this area.

Fred Zweifel, VP of mergers and acquisitions, Generational Equity, said, “This transaction was the perfect acquisition for both SGS and TSG to further expand SGS’s automotive testing services.”

Frankie Ng, SGS CEO, commented, “I am very pleased with this new automotive services acquisition. It further diversifies our testing services offering to the North American automotive R&D industry, at the very heart of the Detroit hub.”
