The Chevrolet Colorado ZH2 was recently put through its paces at the GM Yuma Proving Ground in Arizona on new off-road test areas.

The new courses feature high-speed desert sand trails; low-speed, loose river rock crossings; and steep, technical hill climbs and descents.

This demonstration vehicle will be tested by the US Army in 2017 to evaluate the effectiveness of a hydrogen fuel cell-powered off-road vehicle in mission settings.

Yuma Proving Ground is located on 1,000ha of land in southeastern Arizona and has 75 GM employees and 40 contractors.
