CarMaker version 6.0 enables realistic RDE testing virtually

LinkedIn +

CarMaker version 6.0 from IPG Automotive now enables auto makers to assess RDE of vehicles and propulsion systems virtually.

By integrating CarMaker with the test bench, consumption and emissions can be measured realistically in various scenarios using virtual and physical simulation. This enables example RDE cycles to be driven on the engine test bench in any stage of development, as well as adaptation and automated testing of all factors which could impact emissions.

CarMaker and TruckMaker version 6.0 include a sample test route around Karlsruhe, Germany, which corresponds to the new RDE legislation. Other national and international routes can also be imported by the user.
