First-time exhibitor Austin Consultants, a developer of high-frequency, high-fidelity deterministic automated test systems, is at Automotive Testing Expo Europe to make new contacts, and is showcasing its EVolution test platform for analyzing EV components or full electric powertrains.

Chris Thoroughgood, head of systems at Austin Consultants, said, “The variety and changing powertrain architectures combined with the proliferation of application-driven test requirements is driving new demands of test facilities. Manufacturers require flexible, extensible, open test platforms that can easily and quickly be adapted to accommodate new and changing technologies.”

The EVolution system answers to these demands in multiple ways, according to Thoroughgood. It does so by enabling manufacturers to achieve a wider operating architecture to accommodate evolving test requirements and can integrate existing devices and infrastructure into its adaptable extensible open platform.

A variety of applications are supported and will continue to be supported as these test cases change. Built-in safety models ensure the protection of users and equipment. Overall, Austin Consultants’ EVolution system has been designed to enhance efficiency and reduce test time.

Thoroughgood added, “As well as providing a comprehensive test platform, it offers well-considered, application-led workflows and interfaces and integrates seamlessly with the cell infrastructure and safety.”
