Croatian car maker Rimac Automobili has established an R&D operation in the UK at Warwick Enterprise Park, enabling it to collaborate more closely with players in the UK’s automotive industry. The new facility will house 30 members of staff by the end of 2021 in addition to the team of nearly 1,000 personnel currently at Rimac.

Mate Rimac, founder and CEO, said, “While Croatia will always be our home, we have decided to take the opportunity to gather a small team in the UK where the automotive industry has a long history and great expertise. We are of the strong opinion that British engineers are world-class in the field of electrification and the future of mobility. While we are starting with a small office, we might expand significantly in the years to come, working on Rimac’s future projects, while closely collaborating with our team of engineers, designers and technicians back in Croatia.”

Rimac Automobili already has close ties with the UK, with HR Owen as a part of its global partners network. The company has provided electrified technology to a number of British automotive brands such as Aston Martin and Jaguar Land Rover.

Rimac is scheduled to reveal its latest showpiece, the hypercar C_Two, in its final form, very soon. You can learn more about car’s climatic program through this video here. For more on its EMC testing regime, head to the March 2021 issue of ATTI.
