The project and launch manager for shaker systems explains how AKE Technologies can help manufacturers meet the demands of NVH testing with its state-of-the-art test equipment, more details of which will be available at Automotive Testing Expo Europe 2016

What are the current trends in NVH testing?

One of the main trends is mobility, meaning being able to use our high-power shakers, including component and vehicle analysis systems, in tests all over the world. That also means enabling engineers to perform tests under a range of climatic conditions on one site, which increases the validity of tests.

What new products will AKE Technologies be showcasing at Automotive Testing Expo Europe 2016?

The highlight will be the EvoCarb, the new version of our component shaker for NVH analysis. Thanks to the patented carbon design of the vibrating table we were able to optimize all aspects of the shaker. The low mass of the table promises higher dynamics. In addition, tested components can now have a higher deadweight. The stiffness of the carbon ensures stronger and even more precise power transmission.

We will also present our mobile high power shaker, which accurately simulates a range of driving profiles, enabling disturbing noises to be detected and eliminated in good time during vehicle development.

Our stand will be completed with a robot for anti-friction coating. Anti-friction coatings are a proven means for preventing the stick-slip effect and, hence, detected noises can be eliminated. Our optimized coating process with fully automatic robot control ensures uniform, reproducible quality and cost-effective production.

What other company news can you reveal?

We are planning to build a further production hall to better meet space requirements for the assembly of our test stations and we are also going to enlarge our office block to provide more room for our construction department. In addition, we are always employing new, highly qualified experts.
