The 2023.1 versions of Mechanical Simulation Corporation’s VehicleSim software products – CarSim, TruckSim, BikeSim and SuspensionSim – have been released.
The company’s latest simulation software delivers accurate and realistic predictions of real-world vehicle behavior to help researchers and engineers enhance their respective development processes.
Mechanical Simulation Corporation’s 2023.1 VehicleSim now benefits from alternate steering methods – including differential steering (skid steer) and hydrostatic articulation – found on some construction and mining vehicles. A hydrostatically articulated vehicle can be steered using a yaw hydraulic pivot point to bend the vehicle.
The alternate steering methods can also be paired with the company’s soft soil tire model – such as terramechanical tire – which enables users to simulate soft soil conditions. By incorporating these terramechanical tire models, engineers can achieve fidelity in simulation behavior. This can result in more accurate vehicle dynamics insights in various scenarios, including complex maneuvers, diverse road surfaces and challenging weather conditions.
