Variohm EuroSensor introduces new load cell

Variohm EuroSensor has increased its range of high capacity load cells with the new HM9J series from its exclusive distribution partner Zemic.

The International Organization of Legal Metrology-approved load cell has a rated capacity of 15t, 20t and 30t for C2.5 accuracy, and could be used for weighing race cars, for brake pedal force measurement or on-board vehicles.

Its IP68 protection class and hermetically sealed nickel plated alloy steel construction provides maximum durability for harsh outdoor conditions and the generous specification includes a Y value of 15,000 for exceptionally high reliability.

Meanwhile, the company is now stocking a selection of piezo thin film sensor products from Measurement Specialties. Piezo films offer unique transducer capabilities, producing voltage in proportion to compressive or tensile mechanical stress and strain. They provide a compact and reliable solution as low-cost dynamic strain gauges, vibration sensors, accelerometers or dynamic switch elements. It is also ideally suited to high fidelity transducers operating throughout the high audio (>1kHz) and ultrasonic (up to 100MHz) ranges.
