Automotive Testing Expo China exhibitor North Star Imaging (NSI) has opened its first digital industrial x-ray and computed tomography (CT) facility in Suzhou, China. This demonstration and inspection services laboratory will provide services and market applications to the Asian market.

The NSI Asia facility offers advice and support for customers needing application specific solutions when selecting equipment and inspection services. Typical inspection service requests are for internal measurements, 3D CAD comparisons, void and/or porosity analysis, surface reconstructions for reverse engineering, finite element analysis, and failure analysis.

The laboratory houses NSI’s most versatile system, the X5000 series, capable of digital radiography and computed tomography with a scanning envelope of 0.8 x 1.2m. Computed tomography, unlike conventional x-ray, takes cross-section images and provides a three-dimensional image of the inside and outside of a component.

Visit North Star Imaging at booth 11012 at Automotive Testing Expo China 2016 to find out more. The show takes place on September 27-29 at its new venue, Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center.
