SHOW NEWS: IPG to develop future driver assistance systems

IPG Automotive is developing new driver assistance systems as part of a joint project called Imagine (Intelligent maneuver automation – cooperative hazard avoidance in real time. 

New standards for automated information exchange between vehicles and traffic infrastructure, and the alignment and the decision-making processes between intelligent systems and human beings, will also be developed under the project.

Imagine comprises a consortium of 12 renowned companies and research institutions in Germany, which will work together closely in R&D. The €17.9m (US$19.7m) project is being funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, and will take place over the next four years.
