SGS introduces homologation and functional safety services in North America

Led by industry veteran Pete Campbell, SGS will work with automotive companies offering its services in certification of components and vehicles in the USA and Canada.

“I am very excited to launch and grow this service offering within SGS North America. We look forward to serving the growing hybrid, electric vehicle and autonomous markets by supporting the selection and use of new technologies and components, as well as being able to serve our current automotive testing customers in new ways,” said Campbell.

SGS currently offers homologation services in Europe, Asia and South America. SGS North America will now be able to provide certification and functional safety services for any vehicle or component, including gas, compressed natural gas, liquid petroleum gas, diesel, electric vehicles, and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles. In addition SGS will also be able to introduce and register new companies with the Environmental Protection Agency, Air Resources Board and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, as well as European Union technical services.
