New system from Sony provides immersive virtual simulation environment

The new CLEDIS (Crystal LED Integrated Structure) display from Sony is said to provide a visual experience previously unmatched by even the highest-end conventional LED array. This large-scale canvas solution builds on Sony’s self-emitting display technology, but with ultrafine LEDs as the light source, to deliver a single high-resolution image at an unprecedented scale.

The high contrast and high resolution of the new technology makes it ideal for use in visual simulation during the pre-production testing and development phases of vehicles.

A groundbreaking borderless design enables multiple tiles to be seamlessly aligned so that no visible gaps can be seen by the naked eye. The result is an immersive, true-to-reality picture with a near 180° viewing angle.
