Cooper Standard has established new sealing test and prototype centers at its R&D hub in Shanghai, China. A new training center has also been opened at the facility.

The facility located in Qingpu District covers an area of 1,100m² and houses an automotive sealing finished products and materials laboratory, and a functional test lab for sealing systems. It is the first sealing laboratory of its kind to be accredited by ISO/IEC17025 in China.

The 1,140m² Asia-Pacific sealing prototype center is equipped with a complete production line that can greatly shorten the lead time needed for extrusion process development. Cooper Standard will now be able to carry out a series of advanced product designs and development to support automotive growth of this region.
