New handheld spectrum analyzer from Rohde & Schwarz

Rohde & Schwarz has introduced a new handheld spectrum analyzer, the Spectrum Rider, that offers a large format capacity touchscreen. It is said to offer a solid RF performance with sensitivity of -160dB and measurement accuracy of typically 0.5dB between 10MHz and 3GHz, with an optional extension of up to 4GHz with a code.

The Spectrum Rider’s battery life is stated to be eight hours, which makes it the only instrument of its kind capable of working a full day without recharging. Furthermore, it can be controlled remotely via USB or LAN.

A built-in system automates measurements, reducing measurement times and enabling even novice users with little expertise to reliably carry out measurement tasks.
