New cyclic chamber installed at Satra test facility in the UK

LinkedIn +

Satra, an independent research and testing organization based in the UK, has purchased a second cyclic chamber to meet the growth in demand for environmental testing of vehicle components.

Temperature inside both the old and new chambers can be set from -70°C up to +150°C, while humidity can be adjusted to between 10% and 95% relative humidity.

With a capacity of 1,500 liters each, the 2 x 1 x 1.5m chambers can comfortably house test specimens of different sizes from larger components such as consoles, bumpers and spoilers, and smaller components like mirrors or gear sticks. They can be used to conduct steady state and cyclic tests.
