Messring launches AEB test rig into Chinese market

Under license from the ADAC, Messring has launched the AEB (advanced emergency braking) test system into the Chinese market. The test rig is used across the globe by OEMs, insurance companies, government institutions, and consumer protection organizations.

Until now, AEB test systems were mainly relevant only to companies that wanted to sell their vehicles in Europe and the USA, but the area of application is quickly spreading to East Asia. Euro NCAP was quick to include the testing device into its official test protocol for all AEB System tests published in July 2013. China NCAP will include the test protocol in its regulations beginning in 2018. The future importance of the device is underlined by the fact that Chinese state authorities like CATARC, and CAERI already use the system for their automotive tests.
