Maximilian Szwaj appointed as VP and chief technical officer at Aston Martin

Aston Martin has appointed Maximilian Szwaj as its new VP and CTO. Szwaj will be responsible for global engineering operations and based at the company’s headquarters in Gaydon, Warwickshire, UK.

He joins from Maserati and Ferrari, where he served as head of innovation and body engineering. He has spent more than 25 years in the automotive industry and has also held management positions at BMW and Porsche.

Dr Andy Palmer, president and CEO of Aston Martin, said, “I am delighted to welcome Max to the Aston Martin team. He has a wealth of experience across engineering and product delivery and his experience, skills and passion will make him a great leader for the engineering team as we prepare the business for the next generation of Aston Martin products.”

Szwaj commented, “I’m delighted to be joining Aston Martin at what is an exciting time for the brand. The company is at a significant point in its history, and I’m excited to play a part in developing a series of new cars and technologies that will reshape Aston Martin for the future.”
