Horiba MIRA has established a new €9m (US$10.25m) Advanced Emissions Test Centre (AETC), which will provide testing capabilities for global compliance, including the Euro 6d WLTP, as well as incorporating RDE test capabilities.

The 12,000ft² facility located at Horiba MIRA’s headquarters in Nuneaton, UK, houses a 4WD climatic chassis dynamometer and includes three individual climatic soak rooms and an ambient soak room. Temperatures of -20°C to +35°C can be simulated inside the facility.

A number of new jobs have already been created at the new test facility and will continue to become available until 2018, as capacity is increased.
