Groupe Renault and highway operator Sanef are to jointly develop communications technologies between autonomous vehicles and road infrastructure.

The companies are working together to integrate infrastructure using car-to-car communications and vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2X) developed under the framework of the European SCOOP project.

Edouard Fischer, CTO at Sanef Group, said, “We know that autonomous vehicles need premium infrastructures to be developed – that’s the reason why Groupe Renault and Sanef Group are working together on this innovation. Our goals in terms of road safety and road tech are converging.”
