Fans for wind tunnels introduced by Howden American Fan Company

LinkedIn +

Howden American Fan Company has launched a range of axial and centrifugal fans designed for wind tunnel applications. Axial fans can be supplied in sizes ranging from 6in to 144in and centrifugal fans from 3in to 108in.

The company’s fans are tested to Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) standards, which means they are guaranteed to provide the cubic feet per minute and static pressures specified.

Axial fans provide a concentrated stream of air in a vertical or horizontal flow. They are specifically designed so they will not operate in a stall condition where excessive vibration could damage the fan.

Howden application experts use performance criteria to help customers select the correct fan, for proper operation within specific application parameters.
