Extended UKAS accreditation adds to Millbrook’s safety test capabilities

An extension certificate has been awarded to Millbrook for seat belt anchorage and pedestrian impact tests. This complements the recent commissioning of the roll-over and small offset testing facility for full scale crashes.

Millbrook’s existing sled testing capabilities were significantly enhanced with the installation of an upgraded ServoSled last year. This led to improved accuracy and repeatability of tests, including accurate test pulses matching a crash test or CAE pulse. It is the first facility of its kind in the UK, and is supported by recent investment in the latest high speed, high-definition camera equipment.
