Exa software upgrades enable automated analysis

Exa Corporation has launched an upgrade of its results generation, analysis and reporting program, PowerInsight.

This completely revised version enables users to optimize product performance early in the development process by automating the analysis and sharing of simulation results; this fosters improved collaboration between engineering and design teams.

PowerInsight 2.0 enables rapid, real-time, side-by-side comparison of results from multiple runs, and efficiently packages content, empowering engineers and designers to take insightful simulation-based decisions quickly and efficiently. It processes terabytes of big data and automatically generates reports and PowerPoint presentations that include compelling renderings and animations of the simulation results.

“Simulation runs produce powerful insights for our customers, but they do result in massive amounts of data that can be time consuming to process using traditional software [which]leaves significant value on the table,” said Stephen Remondi, president and CEO, Exa.

“Engineering teams and designers need a common visual environment that allows them to demonstrate the true impact of their design alternatives.”
