Dekra establishes R&D lab in Shanghai for component tests

Dekra has opened a new laboratory for testing automotive components and materials in the Jiading district of Shanghai. The facility will be used for R&D purposes including chemical tests and material identification, safety and certification testing, and EMC, reliability testing and fault analysis.

The company also recently opened an Internet of Things test lab in Linkou in Taiwan.

“Dekra has become one of the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification organizations. In the last two years alone, we have commissioned 15 new laboratories around the world and created a substantial network, because safety is a basic human need,” said Stefan Kölbl, chairman of the management boards of DEKRA e.V. and DEKRA SE.
