AB Dynamics launches video capture system for robot testing

LinkedIn +

AB Dynamics has launched Capture+Review for use with its driving robot systems. The system automatically records video during robot testing and synchronizes it with the data from those tests.

Primarily a software product, it uses HD video cameras to record up to four streams, which are automatically synchronized with the data from the robot test. Once the software is running in the background, the test driver can focus on the test in hand, as video recording starts and stops automatically with a test. On completion of the test it is then easy for the user to instantly see the video and data, and review whether the tests need to be redone.

Setup is easy, the user can choose the layout of the videos to give a single composite output. Typically, there would be a full screen video with other channels displayed as inserts on that screen. There could also be an output from the PC monitor as one of the video streams. Each video file is given a unique name automatically so there is no danger of it being overwritten.
