The Engineering Integrity Society is celebrating 40 years of the Instrumentation, Analysis and Testing Exhibition, a milestone that calls for reflection and celebration. The exhibition’s journey from its humble beginnings has witnessed technological advancements, evolving exhibition formats and a continuous commitment to enabling collaboration within the engineering community.
The inaugural exhibition, which took place in Wolverhampton, UK, in 1984, was supported by GKN Technology. Like today’s event, the early exhibitions were not only platforms for showcasing cutting-edge technologies but also served as an opportunity for in-depth discussion with other engineers.
The exhibition has grown over the years and is now an annual event held at Silverstone Race Circuit with 70 exhibitor tables and mini seminars held alongside the exhibition providing educational, technical content.
Despite the changes to the event, some key elements have remained consistent – the exhibition has always provided a valuable networking opportunity for professionals. Attendees in the early years were keen on learning new skills, discussing the latest developments and sharing information about their experiences and challenges, as are today’s attendees.
This year’s event takes place on March 26 at Silverstone Race Circuit. Entrance to the exhibition and mini seminars are free and attendees can pre-register via the website.
