Altran to open its first passive safety center in North America

Engineering and R&D services provider Altran is to open its first passive safety center in North America in November. Located at 48602 Downing Street in Wixom, Michigan, the World Class Center for Passive Safety will focus on pedestrian protection, airbag testing and interior testing.

In addition to testing and engineering services, the facility will also provide local distribution and support of turnkey test equipment for customized applications from Concept Tech and Microsys. A grand opening event and ribbon cutting is scheduled for Wednesday, November 8, starting at 3:30pm, for customers, vendors, municipal officials and media. Tours of the facility will also be provided.

Altran currently operates automotive passive safety testing centers in France, Austria, Germany and Canada, with over 6,000 automotive specialists operating in 15 countries.
