SHOW NEWS: Fully electric seatbelt anchorage test bench

LinkedIn +

Oilgear has been continuously pushing the advancement of passive safety test benches. As a leader in the shift to servo-mechanical actuators, Oilgear will present the latest evolution of its test bench technology – a fully electric seatbelt anchorage tester.

Designed for seatbelt anchorage and seat static strength testing, it exceeds the requirements of ECE R14, FMVSS 210, GB14167 and other similar standards, making for a future-proof application while allowing out-of-range testing for development purposes. The low noise emissions actuators with minimal maintenance requirements are installed in a modular layout, enabling fitment of between three and 12 actuators, with best-in-class clearance between the cylinders.

Usability was also a key factor in the development of this rig: the actuators are held with gears, thus eliminating the need for cumbersome attachments from the top, providing excellent accessibility. In combination with the effortless positioning of the cylinders, the user-friendly layout is said to be unmatched. The interface guides the user through the test setup procedure in a minimal amount of steps, enabling additional testing time.
