The latest Easy Chester for testing of both AC and DC charging stations has been launched by Comemso. Originally developed as a compact, mobile solution, Easy Chester is widely used for quality and performance analysis of charging infrastructure.
The system fully simulates the communication of an electric vehicle, supporting all relevant communication protocols: DIN 70121, ISO 15118, IEC 61851-1 for CCS and NACS charging standards as well as CHAdeMO up to and including version 2.0.
Typical application scenarios range from initial commissioning and recurring tests as part of quality assurance to maintenance, troubleshooting and technical support or the repair of charging stations. With the Easy Chester, the function, communication and safety behavior of a charging station can be tested easily and safely.
Gen 2 of the Easy Chester from Comemso introduces several upgrades. A revised, more intuitive user interface ensures even easier operation. In addition to 400V systems, 800V charging systems can now also be assessed – a crucial step for testing modern high-power chargers.
The Pro version enables DC load simulation with up to 60kW. Proven features are retained: long-term tests and targeted fault simulations, for example, as wel as communication faults or insulation faults (AC/DC). With the optional comISO module (available from Q4/2025), additional VDE-compliant tests can also be carried out.
Three equipment variants – Basic, Extended and Pro – and a modular hardware architecture with interchangeable electronic cassettes enable flexible adaptation to a wide range of requirements. Thanks to software upgrades, functions can be specifically expanded. Intelligent features such as automatic detection of the connected plug type and connected DC loads as well as the new, improved PDF report function complete the system.
