Expectedly artificial intelligence is a hot topic at Automotive Testing Expo Europe 2026. Commenting on its potential application in vehicle dynamics analysis – an area where it is not yet typically used – Ward Creyns, supervisor at exhibitor Ford Deutschland Engineering, acknowledged that there is significant potential for its implementation. He revealed that the company is currently exploring how AI could be integrated into dynamics testing.
Creyns strongly believes that there is no such thing as too much data. He argued that data collected today may become valuable in the future, even if its purpose is not yet understood, and highlighted that AI could eventually help interpret data collected today, reinforcing his view that all data has potential value.
He also discussed the importance of standardization across test data handling, including common data formats, measurement software and calibration tools, and emphasized that more consistent standards would also improve data capture, enabling more efficient collection, comparison, and long-term use of test data.
