Precision engineering manufacturer WES Engineering Solutions has invested £200,000 (US$260,000) in a new CNC mill-turn machine.

The firm, based in Cornwall in the UK, specializes in tooling for the automotive industry, and has spent the last 25 years working with some of the world’s toughest and rarest metals, manufacturing products for a wide range of global organizations, including operators in the aerospace, automotive and oil and gas industries. It saw double-digit growth in 2018 and is expanding, having taken on three new apprentices, among other appointments.

Daniel Hutchings, group operations manager at WES, said, “Our investment not only boosts our machining capabilities but is also an investment in skills. Growing world-class talent through our apprentice scheme, with new machinery that our early engineers and our very best specialists can both utilize enables us to deliver complex engineering solutions and new market opportunities.”
