Brüel & Kjaer UK’s upcoming range of theoretical and practical courses are now available to book. The training sessions for the autumn include, Theory and Practice of Noise Measurement, running October 1-2.

This two-day session provides a basic understanding of acoustic and measurement principles, covering many applications such as noise abatement, product labeling and building acoustics. Attendees will learn to carry out a host of noise measurements, correct setup of measuring instruments, and assessment of noise reports.

For those involved with test houses and shakers, the two-day Vibration Testing for Engineers and Technicians course on October 8 and 9 provides a practical introduction explaining how to interpret vibration test specifications and apply them to a vibration test system. The course is designed for engineers new to the field of vibration testing, but also acts as a refresher for more experienced users.

An optional third day of training, called Vibration Hands-on Practical, covers the LDS laser USB controller for sine, random, shock and mixed-mode testing.

Brüel & Kjær also provides free, online training sessions with its technical experts. These webinars cover a variety of topics – from general acoustic, environmental and industrial subjects, to more specialized product training.
