Ned Curic appointed chief technology officer at Stellantis

Stellantis has announced that the Ned Curic, the current vice president of Alexa Automotive at Amazon, is to be appointed chief technology officer, effective August 30.

In this position, Curic will report to Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares, and manage the company’s information technology resources.

Stellantis notes that Curic has a proven track record. At Amazon, he was responsible for building the automotive side of the business; before this, in 2015, he worked for Toyota Connected as executive vice president, managing software engineers, data scientists and designers; and prior to this, he was chief technology officer at Toyota Motor North America.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to work closely with Ned, who will play an integral and strategic role in setting the company’s strategic mobility direction, development and future growth for being at the forefront in the automotive industry,” commented Tavares. “Ned joins us at the perfect time to shape Stellantis in the context of unprecedented shift of our industry.”
