Testing, inspection and certification specialist Applus+ is to expand its capabilities with the acquisition of Reliable Analysis (RA), a laboratory-based materials, component, electrical and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing company. Reliable Analysis will become part of its laboratories division, increasing its scope as a service provider for the EV industry.
RA has over 300 employees worldwide and primarily serves the automotive industry from China and the USA, specializing in EMC testing of electric vehicle powertrains and other components from the global auto manufacturers.
Jordi Brufau, executive vice president of the Applus+ Laboratories Division, said, “This gives us an immediate meaningful presence in the Chinese and North American automotive industry. Combining this with our leading position in the EMC testing European market, we’ve become a global reference in the research and development of cleaner transportation.”
