This position helps a customer to achieve the approval of their product/system according to EU/ECE and worldwide directives and regulations. It expands automotive business in USA by operational execution of homologation projects (training, technical support, approval, product monitoring)

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  •  Carries out knowledge services/training or assessment services of Homologation (vehicle, automotive, parts, etc.)
  •  Witnessing and approval of type tests
  •  Plausibility check of technical data, compilation of approval relevant data
  •  Inspection of type approval test vehicles and type approval testing capability
  •  Expands automotive business in USA alignment with TÜV SÜD AUT regional and global strategy and planning
  •  Technical Sales activities in Automotive business in USA
  •  Contributes high technical automotive services with an agile and intelligent sense
  •  Provides customers with services of homologation and other automotive business knowledge to meet client requirements and intended business use as a project manager and a problem solver
  •  Interfaces with multiple stakeholders to perform the domestic and international projects

This job may be for you if:

  •  Completed studies in the field of engineering sciences
  •  At least three years of professional experience in the field of vehicle regulations such as EU/ECE, FMVSS, CMVSS etc.
  •  In-depth knowledge in the field of type approval for electric vehicles (e.g. ECE-R100) and new technologies (e.g. ECE-R79)
  •  Experience in project management and many years of practical experience with project work in the automotive sector
  •  Ideally official recognition as an expert / authorized signatory
  •  Commitment and sense of responsibility
  •  Experienced handling of the MS Office applications
  •  Driving license class B
  •  Independent, structured and result-oriented way of working
  •  Team and communication skills
  •  Willingness to perform, motivation and creativity
  •  Willingness to travel
  •  Very good command of written and spoken German and English
