Your Role & Responsibilities

To lead the development of embedded control system solutions for projects. This will involve working with internal and external teams on a range of automotive prototype and small volume production control system solutions.



To lead control system development projects, teams & business development tenders
To support system requirements, integration, architecture & specifications development
To plan, supervise & deliver hardware, base software & application software developments
To work together with designers, development, calibration & instrumentation engineers
To support wiring loom design and fabrication for projects using MAHLE’s flexible ECU
To support system & software modelling, simulation and testing
Contribute to departmental process development
To manage licensing of software tools used in the department
To analyse test results, prepare technical reports and create test plans
To liaise with program suppliers, internal and external customers
To monitor project progress and finance
To support the preparation of engineering program quotations
To provide support to projects off-site when required
To support issue investigations when required

Degree in electrical/electronic engineering or similar mechatronics / software development related degree
Your Skills and Experience  

Experience with C / MISRA C / C++
Experience working with MATLAB, Simulink, Simscape, TargetLink and auto code generation
Knowledge of CAN networks, protocols, & config
Familiar with rapid prototype microprocessor solutions, eg. Arduino, ARM Cortex
Familiar with ETAS INCA
Familiar with ASPICE development process
Familiar with ISO26262
Familiar with automotive electrical environment (controls, component and communications technologies)


Good organisational skills
Ability to work on own and as part of a team
Ability to work well under pressure and to strict time constraints
Must be eligible to work in the UK to apply for this position
