The ideal application engineer will have a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent experience. This candidate will become expert level with our hardware/software and work directly with our clients to insure maximum up time with our test beds. Test systems include ‘road to rig multiple dynamometer stands’, e-motor, e-axle, battery simulators, and cyclers.
Responsibilities
Initial system commissioning to define the goals of the application and write test schedules to meet the customers needs.
Troubleshoot electrical circuits, communication interfaces, tune PID loops, and adjust calibration parameters.
Provide after the sale phone and on site customer support.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant experience in the electro-mechanical testing field.
Strong technical communication skills.
Willingness to travel outside of the Detroit area up to 20%.
