EPG ( is currently seeking a full-time Senior EV Controls Engineer for one of our partners that addresses the needs and challenges of clean energy technology for the commercial vehicle industry through development of zero-emission commercial vehicles. In this position, you will be responsible for the design, development, and system architecture of e-Mobility solutions using the company’s unique electric assist technology. This position is responsible for planning and implementing software specifically for the user interface and HV safety system in addition to distributing auxiliary power, optimizing high voltage traction motor control, and developing the overall vehicle supervisory control system.


Development of vehicle-level supervisory controls and management
Analysis of data to improve overall systems control function and efficiency
Integration of subsystem components such as: DC – DC converters, onboard chargers, thermal management, HVIL, battery management
Development and optimization of traction inverter control
Control of auxiliary power electronics and HV distribution

BS or MS in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Computer, or another applicable engineering or technical field
3+ years of Controls Engineering experience with system system-level controls integration
Experience with Electric Vehicles (EV) preferred or aerospace and general power electronics controls (batteries, controls, DCDC, etc. components), etc.
Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink/StateFlow, MotoHawk, Model-based design
Experience with high voltage systems

Knowledge of CAN bus messaging protocols, J1939
Experience with high voltage battery management systems
Experience with ISO 26262
Experience in HMI/GUI software development
Experience in simulation and modeling
Experience in testing and validation
