Element has an opportunity for a Senior Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team.  As a member of the operations team, the Senior Engineer position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision.  The engineer positions must be proficient in a number of core business and technical skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

In depth knowledge Road Load Data Acquisition (RLDA)
Be able to provide direction on transducer placement to achieve test results requested
Transducer Development and Calibration
Data review and editing using nCode GlyphWorks
Up to 25% Travel
Project management
Document Daily customer communications and provide weekly meetings with trackers on applicable programs
Establish, document and Report out on project status percent completion (by line item). Timing associated with the projects will also need to be tracked
Manage Staff and assign tasks to ensure test are be conducted in the most efficient cost effective manner
Target 30%+ EBITDA working with operations and the commercial team
Maintain travel and test cost
Complete reports within 10 days of test/data completion
Track project percent completion and provide weekly forecasts for the OM / GM
Maintain and Share Current Price Guide, modify as needed to make this a sustainable tool. This will enable the commercial / engineering team to further assist with the quoting process over time
Assist the commercial and operational team in advancing ideas to further grow the RLDA business with new technology and opportunity

Qualifications:

Working knowledge of laboratory safety
Possesses a wealth of knowledge, deep awareness and critical understanding related to the scope, core theories, concepts, terminologies and boundaries of his/her chosen engineering discipline
Has a depth of specialty knowledge and understanding in multiple areas of an engineering discipline
Has also demonstrated the ability to develop technical knowledge in their chosen field in the context of Element’s business
Likely to possess a Bachelors of Science degree in a science or testing related field
Will have a minimum of 5 years’ pertinent post-degree engineering experience, or advanced academic/professional qualifications
Possesses a demonstrated ability to apply academic knowledge within the context of Element’s business
In-depth understanding of testing concepts
Possess strong computer skills
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry a plus
