Operations Director

Aries Ingeniería y Sistemas is looking for an Operations Director to join our team in Madrid.

You will ensure the completion of projects with the agreed cost, functionality, quality, time and aesthetics to meet the needs of customers around the world with efficient solutions and exceptional added value, through the quantitative and qualitative adequacy of the means, procedures and capabilities of Operations as well as the implementation of relevant control actions in order to ensure that Aries is a reference in the technologies and markets in which it operates, meeting the needs of customers around the world with efficient solutions and exceptional added value.

Main functions and responsibilities:

• Establish the strategy from the perspective of developing services or products in the market, with responsibility for defining the means to be used to achieve the objectives set.
• Actively collaborate in the definition of budgets and strategic alliances.
• Assisting the sales force and facilitating their work from a technical point of view.
• Manage the internal resources for the development of the activity at the production, administration and human resources levels.
• Guarantee the company’s capacity to comply with the new contracts signed in terms of quality and resources.
• Establish rules and procedures for management and control of technical functions (Engineering and Projects).
• Drawing up, together with HR, the team’s knowledge management and development plan.
• Monitoring the implementation of the quality policy to ensure continuous improvement of activities.
• Controlling the activity of the projects and of the engineering and after-sales service departments, analysing and correcting deviations.
• Propose and guarantee compliance with the approved annual budget, analysing and correcting any deviations that may occur.
• Establish the particular annual objectives together with the project, engineering and after-sales departments and their follow-up.

Minimum requirements for the position: 

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Telecommunications, Aeronautics, etc…
• At least three (3) years of experience in the same position in an engineering company with major projects.
• High level of spoken and written English.
• B1 driving licence.
• Availability to travel internationally.

Valuable knowledge and experience:

• Master’s degree in Operations Management or MBA.
