Constructed in an exceptionally short timeframe of just 10 months, Teamtechnik’s largest production hall yet has been completed in time and on schedule at the company’s headquarters in Freiberg am Neckar, Germany.
Around 50 skilled employees will be based at the 2700m2 facility, which was built due to the high demand for the company’s transmissions and e-drive testing solutions. The facility will specialize in machine construction and the building of test benches – each project taking around six to nine months.
The first two projects are already in hand: testing systems for the Volkswagen Group and the electrically driven Porsche Taycan are taking shape in the new hall. In its automotive division, Teamtechnik is a specialist for end-of-line transmission and drive testing for hybrid and electric vehicles.
Teamtechnik CEO Stefan Rosskopf commented, “We are certain that we are on the threshold of a global breakthrough in electromobility, and with our highly qualified employees we aim to play an active part in shaping this change.”
The production hall uses sustainable energy equipped with a photovoltaic system on the roof, which has an output of 210kWp. The electricity obtained from this directly supplies six charging points for e-vehicles and also provides power to the building.
