Emerson has announced an expansion of its NI PXI test platform with updated high-performance hardware at a lower price point. The additions are intended to broaden access to scalable automated test systems while maintaining precision and reliability and supporting future AI-enabled workflows.
The company says that the NI PXI hardware – including high-resolution oscilloscopes, multifunction I/O modules, embedded controllers and an all-hybrid chassis – retains strong software integration, synchronized measurement capabilities and high channel density at a lower cost. Combined with NI software such as LabVIEW, InstrumentStudio and TestStand, the platform reportedly supports faster automation, simplified integration and adaptable test systems designed to evolve with user requirements.
The expanded NI PXI line-up includes high-resolution oscilloscopes with four- and eight-channel options, 100MHz bandwidth, 250MS/s sample rates and 14bit resolution. It also includes an 18-slot hybrid chassis offering up to 2Gb/s system bandwidth. Designed for scalability, the platform supports software-driven test systems and broader access to critical test data.
The line-up also includes simplified embedded controllers supporting Windows 11 and NI Linux Real-Time, designed for teams that do not require GPIB. Emerson reports that the new 18bit multifunction I/O modules provide high-accuracy data acquisition with up to 32 channels, low-noise performance and absolute accuracy down to 980 microvolts for scalable automated test systems.
“For 25 years, our modular NI PXI platform has empowered customers to futureproof their instrumentation investment through innovative upgrades that deliver the latest test and measurement capabilities. We’re excited that now more test engineers will be able to improve their workflows and increase their productivity through the NI platform with these new products,” said Charles Schroeder, NI fellow at Emerson’s test and measurement business.
Schroeder continued, “This foundational line of affordable, powerful NI PXI products allows test engineers to unlock deeper access to better data while making the right cost and performance trade-offs for their organization. It introduces the future of test and measurement and reimagines productivity in the age of AI.”
