This year’s installment of Automotive Testing Expo Europe is taking place at a time of unprecedented change and rapid transformation within the mobility industry.
Held on May 20, 21 and 22 at the Messe Stuttgart, Germany, the emphasis across the three days is on navigating unexpected change and equipping visitors with the technologies, software, services and strategic and practical frameworks to address challenges amidst volatility, all while complying with standards and stringent regulations.
Experts from 300 specialist suppliers are on hand to show their latest state-of-the art solutions to enhance product quality and eliminate recalls, address testing challenges, reduce costs, and accelerate product development, all the while maintaining the customer’s unique brand identity and competitive advantage. Every aspect of automotive testing, development, validation and quality engineering is on show, including the latest advances in software engineering, cloud computing, predictive maintenance, connectivity, CAE, simulation and modeling, vehicle dynamics testing, electric and hybrid powertrain analysis, battery and range testing, crash evaluation, emission measurement systems, proving grounds – and more.
“We’re showcasing our testing solutions for thermal management components, which are a key solution for the evolving demands of e-mobility,” said Maximilian Krieg, sales manager, at Poppe+Potthoff Maschinenbau. “Reliable testing ensures safety, efficiency and durability. We look forward to connecting with engineers to explore their challenges and how we can support them.”
Meanwhile, ZF is showcasing its diverse product range, including test benches for transmissions and axles, e-mobility and tires, among others. “This show is a great opportunity to meet both our existing customers and potential new clients,” explained Markus Kramer, sales and product manager, ZF Test Systems.
The Innovation Showcase is taking place on all three days, with experts from leading suppliers and innovators discussing the topics affecting the industry and introducing new technologies to deal with them. Contributors include Dekra, Messring, NI, Siemens Digital Industries, Humanetics, AVL List and Bosch. Topics cover the benefits of integrating ISO 26262, ISO 21434 and ISO 8800; a masterclass on AI-driven test automation; pioneering innovation in electric vehicle thermomanagement; and ensuring passenger safety in reclined seating.
Despite a challenging time for the automotive industry, the Automotive Testing Technology International Awards are providing inspiration by celebrating the industry’s achievements over the past 12 months. New categories for 2025 include Simulation Innovation of the Year, Supplier of the Year and OEM of the Year. The winners will be announced in a live ceremony this afternoon at 4:30pm in Hall 8.
The ATTI Awards Forum on Wednesday, May 21 will focus on the synergy between data-driven insights, advanced powertrain technologies and performance optimization in modern automotive testing, with presenters including CARIAD, BMW, Nissan Technical Center Europe and Bosch. Discover how a top OEM is tackling today’s testing challenges.
Meanwhile, over in Hall 9, ADAS & Autonomous Vehicle Technology Expo is showcasing how the mobility sector is being transformed with the rise of 5G, AI and edge computing. The exhibition and conference are addressing pain points and covering everything needed to develop and safely deploy ADAS and autonomous vehicles, including connectivity, sensor fusion, cloud and edge computing, simulation tools, digital twins, deep learning and AI-driven scenario generation.
