Williams Advanced Engineering has newly appointed Paul McNamara as technical director. McNamara will report to MD Craig Wilson and will be responsible for overseeing the overall technical management and delivery of the company’s projects.
He previously worked as an executive director at Shanghai Automotive Industries (SAIC) based at the Technical Centre in the UK, but worked for much of that time in the Chinese operation as part of a global team to set future product direction and deliver current programs to market. Prior to SAIC he worked for more than 20 years at Ricardo during which time he was the UK engineering director for five years and MD of the UK divisions for a further five years.
Speaking of his appointment, McNamara said, “In its short history Williams Advanced Engineering has started to develop a reputation for exceptional quality, creativity and innovation in the diverse and increasingly high profile projects it undertakes. It’s these qualities that have attracted me to the company and I want to use my past experiences to help the business fulfil its potential. I will be working closely with our engineering teams to ensure that we deliver projects to the standards expected of the Williams brand name.”
