Automotive technology company ClearMotion has signed a 10-year deal on a new technical center within MIRA Technology Park in the UK.
Boston-based ClearMotion specializes in proactive suspension technology, road surface mapping and active seating motion control, and has had its European headquarters and R&D team at MIRA Technology Park since January 2018.
The new technical center, which is under construction, will equate to a tenfold increase in floor space, and will provide modern office, workshop and ancillary facilities, to accommodate ClearMotion’s expanding European team. The construction is scheduled for completion in July this year.
ClearMotion’s expansion in the UK reflects its growth overseas. The company has doubled in numbers since 2017, and in January announced that it had secured US$115m equity financing, bringing the total amount raised by ClearMotion to nearly US$270m.
MIRA Technology Park, which is Europe’s largest automotive R&D cluster, provides ClearMotion with access to world-class test facilities and services, alongside the opportunity for employees to access skills development through the MIRA Technology Institute. Its geographic location at the center of the UK automotive sector also makes it easier for the company to recruit staff with the appropriate skills.

Since 2010, MIRA Technology Park has welcomed 38 globally recognized businesses to the site and has become one of the UK’s top performing Enterprise Zones.
